Welcome to the XFUSION mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "App"), developed by the XFUSION Development Team (hereinafter referred to as "we," "us," or "XFUSION"). We highly value your personal privacy and data security. This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") is designed to explain how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your personal data. Please read and understand this Policy carefully before using the App.
1. Types of Personal Data We Collect
To provide you with comprehensive bicycle hardware interaction and account features, we collect the following types of information with your active provision or authorization:
- Account and Identification Data: When you register or use the App, we collect your name (or nickname), email address, and password. If you choose to log in via a third-party service (such as Google Sign-In or Apple ID), we will obtain your user identifier and email address in accordance with the authorization agreement of that third-party platform.
- Device Information and Usage Data: To optimize system performance and troubleshoot errors, we collect your device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
2. Device Permissions Use and Purpose Statement
The App requires access to specific hardware features during operation. All permissions are enabled solely for necessary technical purposes and are never used for tracking unrelated to the core functionality of the App:
- Bluetooth and Nearby Devices Permission: This is a core permission of the App. The App requires Bluetooth and nearby device scanning capabilities solely to perform wireless connection, data synchronization, status configuration, and Over-the-Air/Device Firmware Updates (OTA/DFU) with your bicycle hardware or related accessories. We never utilize Bluetooth signals to track user locations.
- Camera and Photos Permission: When you actively change your profile picture or upload bicycle configuration photos within the App, the App will request access to your camera and photos. We only process the specific image you explicitly select; we never access or read other media content in your gallery.
3. Third-Party Services and Data Security
To ensure App stability and provide essential operational services, we utilize industry-trusted third-party technologies:
- Firebase (Google LLC): We use Firebase services to handle secure user login authentication (Authentication), analyze the frequency of de-identified App feature usage (Analytics), and collect error crash logs (Crashlytics) when the App crashes to facilitate rapid troubleshooting.
- Infrastructure and Transmission Security: Our backend system adopts strict security protection mechanisms. All user data is protected via encryption technologies (such as SSL/TLS) during transmission and stored on cloud servers strictly protected by secure firewalls.
4. User Rights and Account Deletion Mechanism
You have full control over your personal data:
If you decide to stop using the service, an intuitive "Delete Account" function is provided directly within the App (accessible anytime via your personal profile tab). Once you confirm the account deletion in the App:
- We will immediately initiate the data removal process upon receiving the request.
- All personal identification data associated with your account will be completely removed from our production servers.
- Certain technical historical statistical data that does not contain personal identifying characteristics (such as hardware communication error codes or system performance data) may be reasonably retained within the scope permitted by law, solely for product technical R&D and hardware system improvements.
5. Amendments to the Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If any material revisions are made, we will publish a notification within the App or update the "Last Updated" date of this webpage.
